should I make a KVCD 352x288, is the quality acceptable?

I'm extremely new with K(S)VCD. I've made VCD's with regular templates, etc.
Now I was trying to make a KSVCD (PAL): 352*576. The movie length is 104m, and I wanted to fit it on 1 CD. Therefore I used the KSVC template. The problem is, the output file is really weird. I normally have widescreen movies, this looks like it has been rotated a bit; it's tall and very narrow.
How to prevent this.

Also, should I make a KVCD (352*288), is the quality acceptable?

btw I've read posts about CQ's, GOP's, etc. I have know idea what this means, and what this does. So try to awnser in a manner you're describing something to 4 year old :wink:

Also, I've been told to get 120m KSVCD on 1 CD. I was transcoding the same movie with the appropiate template, and my file size was ~1Gb.

What's up with that?

Hi Theos,

Have you read the "File Prediction" forum :?:
Also, take a look at the guides available on the main page www.kvcd.net under "Articles"

I've tried to read those;
- first of all it's kinda hard to find the right article
- second, the articles are quite advanced, and those which are written for newbies, only talk about KVCD's, not KSVCD's. Rarely they do so, but then there's no reference about the file size, etc. And they get quite detailed/advanced.
