KVCD: Adjusting CBR for VCD?

I'm making a standard compliant VCD. Using the TMPGEnc vcd template modified with Kwag's notch matrix, etc. The standard bitrate of 1150, with 128 audio, creates a file (less credits) that is slightly too large.

How do I compute the CBR necessary to fit?

go to divx-digest.com and download a bitrate calculator. or use calcumatic.

I always use CalcuMatic and CQMatic for my CQ runs, but this is a CBR.

The average bitrate in calcumatic is what you should use for your CBR encoding.

Calcumatic is good with all types of encoding.

TMPGenc has its own good calculator. Use the wizard and the last screen where you choose audio bitrate, resolution, there's also average video bitrate and estimated filesize. Type in the "estimated filesize" box 807 for example (or anything you want) and TMPGenc sets the average video bitrate by itself.[/b]

Just remember that it's not standard compliant VCD if the bitrate is not 1150kbps :!:

yeah, boulder is right, but whatever.

Standard compilant VCD has 224 kbps audio. Nothing more, nothing less. and 1150 kbps CBR mpeg1 video.
