TMPGEnc: Created .mp2 from wav, but tmpgenc says illegal mpeg stream

HI,
been following lots of guides, tried the acp program but getting no joy at all, I followed a step by step for converting avi to kvcd but after I use besweet to convert my .wav to .mp2, I can hear the audio if I try to play the .mp2 but tmpegenc doesnt like the file. ;-(

what am I doing wrong?

Where does tmpegnc reject the file ? As audio source ? Or when you try to mux it in mpeg tools menu ?

yeah, when I try and do a simple multiplex in the tools.

I have installed about a million programs to try and get all this to work, headache gets an error about no file block when I open the wav file,
had problems with orginal version of besweet. and so on.

I am sure it is something simple..btw.. I converted the wav to mp2 with besweet 1.4

you mp2 musn't be mono (choose whatever else), freq 44.1 or 48Khz (nothing else) and bitrate from 96 to 320.

Does your file follow all these conditions ?

my file looks like everything is ok, I dont know what I am doing wrong..
poo, stereo - 44100 - 192 bitrate

a few more hours and I'm gonna give up, back to divx for me

Mux your audio and video with BBMpeg.

right, I tried with another avi file, I have got a .mpv file and a .mp2 file.
I can see the picture when I play the mpv file and I can hear sound when I play the mp2 file but when I multiplex them, all I get is an mpeg file with no sound. I tried bbmpeg and tmpegenc to do the multiplexing and it dont work :(
I tried tmpegenc to multiplex the .mpv with a .mpa and it works but the filesize is over 1 gig.

something is wrong with my .mp2 file I think....

With splitter (or demultiplexer) is used when you play the mpg ?

Check this point with zoomplayer or even gspot. Perhaps the problem is here.

i think it may have been just a couple of files that wouldnt work, I have been playing and playing all night (been at this for 2 days!!) and finally got some different files to work doing everything by hand...

tmpegenc loaded with the right .mcf file and source.avi convert to mp1v
virtualdub to extract wav file from source avi
headache to convert wav to mp2
back to tmpegenc to multiplex simply

and its done!! most of my other files have worked this way and I am excited that I can put a whole load of these conversions onto a dvd-r!

next thing I want to know is how to adjust the screen size of the output, one of my movies has a large part of the screen taken up with borders, is there a way to cut these out during processing? the screen is just a bit to small with these borders on.

thanks for your help (and patience)
