Hi Stevej:

Did you change any of the GOP settings in the template?. The MAX number of frames in a GOP has to be set to 15 for PAL and 18 for NTSC for DVD compatibility. That's the way they're set in the templates.

Temporal reference in a GOP are out of sequence

I have actually not changed anything, just started the encoding.

But I just read in your F.A.Q that converting from DivX wouldn't work that well, perhaps that is the problem?

We'll in this case, the mpeg created with the template should still be DVD compatible. No matter what the source was. Because you're generating a new MPEG file. Can you try that same mpeg file with DVDit? You can download the demo. Also, what version of SpruceUp are you using?

I use spruceup 1.1
I also had the same error when I made a DVD conversion on Training Day, demultiplexing the file in TmpG gave me the same error, but ONLY the demultiplexed file (.M2v) NOT with the .mpg file
I tried several times with simple demultiplex with same result, Temporal reference in a GOP are out of sequence. Finally i tried to not use the simple demultiplex, instead i used the "other demultiplex" in TmpG
THEN it worked fine.

But doing the same with the Divx converson does not solve the problem.
Wierd...

Does DVDit Pro support DD 5.1?

I have loaded the mpegs made with the KDVD templates with SpruceUp version 1.1 Build 1106, DVD movie factory, and DVDit PE version 2.5. They all recognize the mpeg file as a compliant DVD file.
DVDit PE suppports two channel dolby only.

I'll try to reencode again and see what happens.

Thanx for your time! (And a fantastic template.)

Thanks Stevej :D
Encode a small sample before you commit to your full encode.
