KVCD: which one encoding resolution should i use?

i have and encoded a movie running at 25fps...when i burn it wth nero 5 , do i choose "encoding resolution" as PAL or NTSC..to my understanding

PAL--->25fps
NTSC--->23.976 or 29.97fps

so i would like to know which one "encoding resolution" should i use or does it matter at all

Exactly. You choose PAL at movie 25fps
NTSC at 29.97 and 23...

And the resolution are also system dependent !

NTSC = 352*240 / 352-480-528-544 * 480
PAL = = 352*288 / 352-480-528-544 * 576

The easiest way to burn so different formats is VCDEasy.
VCD1.0 for NTSC or NTSCFilm and VCD 2.0 for PAL.

Why this ? In VCD 1.0 you don't have chapters so you shouldn't use it. I use VCD2.0 everytime PAL or NTSC.

OK that's right But if you choose NTSC in Nero the film burns in VCD 1.0. So are my experience.

so to answer my question ....since my movie is in 25fps , i burn it with nero 5 at "encoding resolution" PAL???

Yes!!!

I actually think that the "Encoding resolution" option in Nero takes effect only if you select to make a vcd from avi-file and Nero encodes the file by itself.

The have to shut down the standart kompatibilität. That problem you doesn't have with VCDEasy. But with Nero it's always easy.
