video goes crazy slow and is doubled in size to 640x480?

Ok i got my video encoded at 352x240 and it plays fine by itself in anything.
I got my audio encoded at the same frequency and 128 bit.
But when i multiplex it, the video goes crazy slow and is doubled in size to 640x480, audio seems to play at proper speed.
I dont know what the heck is going on.
I've been using tmpg to multiplex as nonstandard, cuz that's the only thing i know how to use for multiplexing as non-standard
THe movie is 1 1/2 hours long.
Vdub detects no errors in the video stream.

What is the video codec used for MPEG1 on your PC (or MPEG2 if you encode in MPEG2) ? You can see that with Gspot if you do not know what to anwser.

Do you have problems with others video than this one ?

Gamecraze 11-04-2003 10:38 AM

um the video codec...klite codec pack...mpeg 1
Never had this problem before.

Dialhot 11-04-2003 10:56 AM

Nothing while multiplexing can change the size resolution. The speed, is an other problem.

Can you load Gspot and tell me what it reports as video and audio codec really used for rendering this problematic video ?

Because "klite" is a pack, not a codec. And I don't know all the pack contents on the web ;-)

audio is - 0x0055(MP3) ID'd as MPEG-2 Layer 3
56 kb/s (28/ch, stereo) CBR 22050 Hz
video is - 4cc - DIV3/div4 name - DivX 3 Fast-Motion
took me a bit to find gspot.

OK i seemed to have fixed it.
1st i tried multiplexing in bbmpeg which game me an error which i looked up and they said their problem was the audio didnt work right going from vdub's wav extract straight to headac3 like i did, so i 1st converted it to mp3 via dbpoweramp then to mp2 via headac3 and it works now.
Yay.

The next time convert from WAV to MP2

Gamecraze 11-04-2003 02:00 PM

well i didnt feel like gettin dbpoweramp's mp2 thing at the time, cuz i wasnt sure if it would work at all.
So i just used what i had available to me quickly, but yes i'll get the mp2 bit for it now.
