Convert DivX to what?
 

i know CQMatic dosent like DivX and i was wondering what i should convert to before i run it through CQMatic

CQMatic read only tmpgenc project.

And tmpgenc can read avi. So... no need.

i read somewhere DivX and XviD have a seek problem that screws up the estimates, because CQMatic estimated 81.56 CQ and when i used it the video file came out 20mb to big

Hi kqmaverick,

Did you set CalcuMatic with audio at 128Kbps (default) for prediction values :?:
That way, you can then encode your audio at 112Kbps, and that will adjust your final size much closer to the original wanted size.
But remember that 99% of the times, CQMatic will calculate a CQ that will be +-2% within target. So maybe your 20MB of is not really that far off :!:
