Problems with MPEG Layer-3 CODEC
 

Hello everybody

Firstly, sorry for the expression, but my english is not very good.

I'm trying to separate audio & video from one AVI (DivX). I'm doing it with spanishdub (=virtualdub). When I try to save the wav, it opens this message:

"Error initializing audio stream decompression: the request conversion is not possible.
Check to make sure you have the required codec"

I process the avi with GSpot (to see the codecs of the avi), and says that the audio format is WAVE_FORMAT_MPEGLAYER3 (MP3), and it opens with codec MPEG Layer-3 CODEC

The problem is that the codec is installed :? , and I can see (and hear) the avi with WMP or Bsplayer, without any problem with the audio :cry: :cry:

Anyone can help me ??

I post first in the divx-xvid forum because it was the process I was trying to do.

Later, I think there's more "correct" ask my question in the codecs forum.
