BBMpeg: Join error?
 

When I'm muxed one of my encodes today and opened it with VirtualDub it gave me an error message that said something about possible join errors on two specific locations in the movie. What's this about? I use the recommended setting for bbMPEG...???

The only recommanded things for me is to not trust vdub about mpeg1/2. It handles them very badly.
(not tested 1.5.8 yet, where mpeg2 seems to be more achieved).

So it should not be a problem then? I can't see or hear anything strange when viewing the movie but I got a little worried when I got the error.

I think you can use your MPEG without any problem.

That's what I thought too. Before I burned the movie to a CD, that is. The movie plays on my standalone, but the picture looks like hell (pardon my french :wink: )! Blocks all over the place... the audio is fine though. The strange part is that I don't get this wierd behaviour when I use TMPGEnc to mux the movie!? 8O Not even the join errors when I open the muxed movie in VirtualDub... :roll:

Just a hint .....
If you already used TOK in the past... there should be a BBmpeg.ini file within the Folder where your encodings where finished.

Try to use this .... I got two of them in safe ... one from a 352x288 encoding and one from a 480x576 encoding.

... so if I join OneCD Encodings I always choose them in BBmpeg's "load settings" Tab .... therefore I never again had muxing problems. Cause IMHO of well presets within the BBmpg.ini files after the resolution specific encodings via TOK.

So you don't have to do a dummy encoding using TOK.... becuase TOK in installed state is deleivered with an .ini file for 352x288 only (as I remember), so don't choose the one within the TOK appl. Folder!
