New Transcoder for KSVCD
Hi @ll!
Guess what I've found at Doom9 8) It's called ReJig, and it's an MPEG2 transcoder which accepts m2v, mpg and vob files. It's really friggin' fast (2Fast2Furious mainmovie-m2v came out in 8 minutes, with an error of -0,61%), and quality equal if not superior to DVDShrink. You can find it here: http://nic.dnsalias.com/ReJig.zip Doom9 Thread: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...threadid=62849 Edit: I've looked for macroblocking one more time, and there is far less of them than DVDShrink gave me - infact there are only some at the end of the movie. I guess that happens when the transcoder runs out of disc space.. great quality nonetheless! |

I've done 2F2F with 50% now - still very watchable, and I daresay still better than DVDShrink with Deep Analysis.

OK, I'll like to produce a quick and dirty copy of a DVD using Rejig.
I've never done a DVD rip and DVD2SVCD has never produced a usable result for me so could someone write a quick outline of how to do it with Rejig? |
Hey Mr. Tibs,
this is taken from the doom9 forum mentioned above. Eventually there will be guides on http://www.rejig.org to tell how to do all this. Bsically it is not straight forward and will required some background reading if you are not familiar wiith all the tools. Currently i use rejig on mpg tv captures just to shrink them a little. Works very nicely and it is fast, Cheers, Quote:
