TMPGEnc: quality looks like little squares are flashing

first i start out by using virtualdub to split my avi files.headac3he for audio, and TMPGEnc to compress the video.im using the 352x240 kvcd template. the problem is,after you split the audio and video the video part is perfect before i encode it with tmpgenc then when its finished it looks like little squares are flashing like something is wrong with the pixels or something. this is my first try making a kvcd usually i just do vcd's and have not ever had this problem. any help would be appreciated

thanks :D

There are two cures.
1. Use Avisynth and the last optimal script. Look in the "Optimal scripts" forum.
2. Go for two CD's. (Only if the first cure doesn't help)
