DVD2SVCD: file.avs cannot open or unsupported
I passed from win98 to win XP.
I installed the last version of dvd2svcd and when I get to the video encoding ( I use tmpgenc) I get an error ( " file.avs cannot open or unsupported" ). I tried then to find out the problem. The problem is the follow : If I try to open the following avs file LoadPlugin("C:\vari progr\filtri\MPEG2Dec3.dll") Mpeg2Source("d:\rip\lara.d2v") in mplayer2 , I see from the bar of the player that it's trying to download a codec . If I'm connected to internet my personal firewall show that mplayer2 try to conect to microsft's activex site but at last it replyes that cannot open the file. Where I did wrong? The avisynth seems to be correctly installed. I tried a acs file with the verion command. Any idea? In win98 same machine works everythings. |
Even under win98 you need a codec to read uncompressed video provided by avisynth. I do not remember the name but you can see it by using GSPOT on your script, I guess.
You probably installed it with a codec pack on your win98 PC and don't remember. You have to do the same with XP. By the way, if you encode in MPEG2 you will need a codec to read the video, so what about installing a light codec pack ? (Nimda for instance ?). see : http://www.codec-download.com/ |
I really think it something that i forgot to install.
Thank. I'll check. |
