TMPGEnc: Can't get audio sync when joining mpeg2 files!

:( I am all out of ideas on joining two mpeg2 files created with the KDVD template. Every time i try i always end up with the audio out of sync on the second half of the movie, by a few seconds. Both halves are great individually and have been chopped perfectly but nothing will join them properly. I have tried Tmpgenc 2.55 and 2.57 plus but both give the same results. HELP!

Why do you need to join them ?

A) If your burning the 2 to a single CD, simply add both mpegs as seperate files in a SVCD image in VCDEasy. On playback, it will play as one, and as an added bonus, will act like chapters if you wish to skip to the middle.

B) If your viewing them on your PC, does your software not allow you to queue files in a playlist ? ie.. WinDVD/PowerDVD

When I added two mpegs to the burn list in VCDEasy there was a very nice pause between them and the second mpeg was a little out of sync. I tried to join them in TMPGenc but the second one wouldn't load. I wonder if TMPGenc can successfully merge two .m1v files?

Try encoding the MPG2 files as System (VBR) first, then demux, and join the separate files and remux them as Non-Standard VBR. Seems to be a problem with TMPGENc, read pnumonic's post about this and it worked for me.

:D Thanks Spyglass, I will try that.

Moovy guy, I am trying to join them because it is a dvd I have made and want them to be as one complete film with as good as i can get join. The problem being as Rendalunit has mentioned that tmpgenc seems to be shit at joining them. The only other software I have seen is around £400 so I think not. Thanx for the reply guys. :D
