Quality Transcoder (DVDShrink) the same as an Encoder (CCE) ?
same if I am keeping my main movie uncompressed?
In DVD Shrink I keep my main movie at 100% and let the extras and menus take the quality hit. So is it safe to say using more complicated encoder methods would just be a waste of time? I suppose I would get better quality on the extras, but I dunno if it's worth it since my main movie is staying at 100% Thoughts? |
I do not understand : if you let the quality at 100%, the size of the movie doesn't decerase, no ? (i do not know that software).
If yes, I guess that what you do is equivalent to a simple copy, and you do not need dvdshrink for that. |
@DialHot
I think he is not transcoding the main movie, only the extras. @audi2honda Yes, the movie will have the same quality, but the menus and extras would look so much better with a more complex method. And this is not possible with most movies I try (today I am doing Back to The Future 2 and only the main movie is around 6.5 Gb). If you intend to keep all the extras and menus and still get top quality, I suggest the "Big 3" method from Doom9. |
