Hi archers,

It all depends on the type, and play time of your movie.
If your movie is less that ~120 minutes, you might want to try 528x576 (KVCDx3), but you must encode with filters via AviSynth.
Read about the motion adaptive scripts and about file size prediction.
If you're starting with mpeg encoding, you're going to have to do a lot of reading on the forum :)

Start by reading this guide: http://www.kvcd.net/guides/kguide/kvcdguide.htm
That will give you a basic understanding of the complete overall process.
Then later, you can move on to more advanced scripts and techniques.
The templates are all here: http://www.kvcd.net/dvd-models.html
