What resolution I must use for xvid rips?

:D
Hi, kwag; nice forum... well let´s go to the point.

I´m new in this kvcd thing and I wonder what resolution it´s better for xvid rips and what resolution gives me more quality with this rips.

And other thing... which is better? MPEG-1 or MPEG-2?
I ask you this because I started with SVCD and I´m kinda used to the quality that brings me but I´m testing the kvcd because I always use 2 cds for my svcds and that´s not that good now for me...(too much money on cds 8O )

I hope you can answer all these questions.

Thank you for all.

So new that you don't know yet that Kwag is the last guy to ask something about avi encoding :-)

The resolution do not depend on the kind of the source but on it's original size and quality.

There are hundreds of people on this forum, why do you ask your questions to Kwag only ? Others answers are not valuable ?

Thanks for answering, Dialhot; and sorry for inconvenience. I didn´t know that other people than kwag moderates this forum.

I hope you can help about the doubts that I´m going to have.

Thank you so much.

I'm not talking about moderating but posting. Don't you read a little before making your first post ?

BTW, Kwag does not moderate all himself and you can see the name of each forum moderators in the forum index (just under the name of the forum section). For instance, I am one of the moderators of this section.
