KDVD: fit multiple films on 1 disc?

Hi,

I have been doing a bit of AVI to DVD and DVD to DVD etc and I came across this new KDVD.

This apears to be the way to go if you can fit multiple films on 1 disc.

I have read a few guides and it looks quite complex to to this.

Is it easier than it looks at first glance and is most of the software needed freeware ?

Thanks.

Hi splattergod,

the complexity depends on what you want to do.
If you are already doing DVD's you don't need any additional commercial software.
The main difference between DVD and KDVD is the matrix.
If you are using an encoder that can use another matrix, patch it to match Kwags Notch Matrix. This is quite simple to do with many encoders.

If you want to gain more quality have a look at avisynth and the latest optimal scripts. This is what i recommend.

Hope this helps.

Hi splattergod,
The only commercial software needed is the encoder like tmpgenc and cinema craft encoder, etc...
But there are new freeware encoders arriving to the scene like ffmepg and menkoder
Anyway join the gang, read a few guides, try a lot (hope you have a fast PC) and with the help of the guys you'll be doing great KVCD/KDVD by the end of the week
PS-When in doubt use the search button first. If you really don't find what you need locate your question's topic and post it.
