TMPGEnc: Multiplexing with version 2.59
I know Im not suppose to be using tmpeg 2.59 for muxing as I will get the wrong file size if I use MPEG1 video cd(non standard) option in the tools menu. But Ive been getting round this by using the MPEG1-system(VBR) as the muxing setting. The file I create comes out the right size(but sometimes with an audio delay, using headac3he to get round this) and plays fine in my DVD player.Just wondering is the file still the same as it appears to be the same as all my other kvcd's or does muxing using these settings do something else to my file?

You file is padded on the fly by the burnig tools and can sometimes (especially with Nero) grows a lot ( a 800 Mb video appears as 900 Mb !) making the burning impossible.
Except that, there is no difference. |
I hope I did understand you well .... but there have been reports that TmpgEnc 2.59 does have a bug which lets people end up with to large endfiles.

If you read him well, he is already aware of that :

Thanx,I was wondering about the burning of the files, bcos when I got to burn them they dont reduce in size with nero like they usually do.Fortunately for me all my files came out at 230mb each which is fine as I get 3 on a 700mb disc, with hardly any room to spare, but I was expecting to only take about 600mb of space, instead of 690.
