KVCD: multiplex as an SVCD ?

Because I was fed up with always taking my pc downstairs for my father to watch one episode on the tv I started with kvcd.
I tryed kvcdx2, kvcdx3 mpeg1 and kvcdx3 mpeg2 but the dvd player didn't play it properly.
Then I found that I should multiplex as an SVCD and create an svcd image with vcdeasy.
Now all 3 three of them work.
But now I need some advice.
I won't go below kvcdx2 that's for sure.
Should I use kvcdx2, kvcdx3 mpeg1 or kvcdx3 mpeg2?
Or is it better using skvcd because I have to write as an svcd anyway?
I already started a thread of which one is best but the admins may delete that.
Now I know what works. So now I need advice not knowing what's best.
Thanks in advance.

MPEG1 gives better result than MPEG2 at low bitrates (as we use for KVCD). So do MPEG1.

I always start form MPEG1 KVCDx3 , and I reduce the resolution according to the movie length, in order to keep a good quality on the CD.

My suggestion :

Movie less than 1.45h : 544*480
Movie less than 2.00h : 480*480
Movie less than 2h15 : 352*480
Movie other than 2h15 : 352*240
