Trouble playing kvcd on dvd player?

hi. i just convert an avi to kvcd with script and burn it on a cd-rw just to test if it works on a standalone dvd player.well althought that it plays fine on pc ,on my standalone dvd player it writes "Check Disc" and dont play.What is wrong?

A lot of things can be wrong.

Is you standalone handle KVCD ?
Did you burn in a correct way ?
Did you burn at a low or high speed ?

There a SO MUCH things that can be wrong taht it is IMPOSSIBLE to tell you without more informations.
