Hi!

Original subject of this thread :) was how to fit a movie on one CD...

Here is a few tricks I have used successfully :

- subtitles : adjust position so they all fit in the black bar at the botton of the movie (no overlap with image).
- subtitles : use a smaller font size.
- subtitles : if you use vobsub, put fade in/out to 0, and check smooth caracter.
- border size : using fitCD information, I reencode my movie increasing the overscan blocks around the picture (I watch my VCD only on DVD player+TV).
- set temporalsmoother to (2,2) --> I usually start with (1,2).

+ Once I was really lazy (didn't want to reencode all movie), I have reencoded only the credits (with cooool music I wanted to keep 8) ) using *really* big borders (halving displayed image size in fact). Then cutnpaste with TMPGEnc tool. Et voilą!

Cheers.
