Xvid to KDVD FPS problems
I have an AVI source that was encoded using a current Xvid codec. The file is 23.976 FPS and when played appears very clear but slightly jumpy on some scenes. It looks like it was probablly a PAL (25fps) source and just directly encoded to 23.976.
Is there anything I can do to eliminate the jumpy scenes? Can I convert back to 25fps with the help of an AniSynth filter? Grantman |
what means:
" It looks like it was probablly a PAL (25fps) source .." :?: |
Answer
When viewing the AVI file it skips in a very consistent rate. It looks like a frame per second is missing.
I made a TOTAL GUESS that the source was 25fps and it was just encoded at 23.976. The quality of the output is EXCELLENT other than the consistent skipping. It may be a mistake but I am working with the assumption that this was a well encoded file that just was misconverted from 25fps to 23.976. Taking that assumption is the a process that can fix the problem? Can you re-encode to 25fps and then convert back to 23.976? Grantman |
With what you are describing : no !
You can recreate frames that were badly discarded in the first conversion. |
