KVCD 352x240 is Best deinterlaced ?
I realize this is a common question.
I search this out and read several comments, but from the way the comments were it seemed to contridict itself some times.. So I'm still confused. Bottom line question: If I am making mpegs, 352x240, to burn to a kvcd to be played in my dvd player on my standard television then is it, or is it not, better to "deinterlace" the video? |
if your source is interlaced.....
yes,is better! use the search with the word "deinterlace" and will find lots of answers. see one found using the search: http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic....ht=deinterlace  |
VCD at 352x240 is already de-interlaced because you are halving the frame size (480 is cut to 240). By throwing out half the video hight you have effectively de-interlaced.

if he discarded every second field to get to 240 height yes, but if he just resized to 240 height ... then its tricky
