One file 16:9, other 4:3 - won't go on same disk!
tmpg will not let me make my kdvd, because one of the videos is 16:9 and the other is 4:3, i dont know how this happened normally all of the mpeg 2 files i do are 16:9.
is there any way around this where il be able to have both videos on one dvd without having to encode the file again? or a way i can change the video size without quality loss |
As TmpgEnc DVD Author supports multiple VTS on one DVD-R you can author a kDVD using diff. ARs and diff. sound formats.
Using DVDlab in its basic version ... its not possible! If you got the ProVersion its possible (as I know) |

if not il just get dvd labpro and give it a go thanks |
With TmpgEnc DVD Author you can author a Kdvd incl. diff. Aspect Ratios as said above.

iv tried , but it doesnt let me, keeps coming up with error
The video aspect ratio 16:9 is not compatible with the current track. it is necessary to standardise the aspect ratio on the track. the aspect ratio on the current track is 4:3 how do i get around this, is there a setting i need to change? |
How do you assign the video and audio in TmpgEnc??
Separately (m2v + mp2/ac3) or already muxed?? |
separately as m2v and mp2. iv just found out a way around it, u have to do two separtate tracks, one with each movie in it, that then allows you to have different aspect ratios. before for all my other films i had all my videos on one track, because they were of same aspect ratio i didnt have problem, but i worked it out now. thanks for help mate, at one point i thought u it wouldnt be possible until you confirmed it was, then i started to play around with the features

The error message says it all :
"The video aspect ratio 16:9 is not compatible with the current track. " You have to do different tracks :!: Tracks are on the left side of the window. The right side are chapters (or sequence, call them as you want) within a track. And for sure you can mix a chapters in different A/R ! Edit: sorry, I just saw that you already said you find the trick ;-) |
