Problem muxing original AC3 stream with m2v/mpv?
Hi all
As title of topic I hape problem with muxing mpeg2 stream with AC3 sound track ripped from DVD . MPV string from CCE 2.66 and AC3 sound stream demuxed from VOB's with DVD2avi 1.77 . Mux with bbMPEG as DVD compatible mpg file . When I'm trying to compile DVD project with DVDlab program closes without any error . :( :( I'm probably doing something wrong but can't get where is the prob ? Please help with muxing of orig. sound track !!! bman |
You don't need to mux these file using bbmpeg before! As all DVD authoring Tools do that for you ..... maybe thats the reason for your issue?!

In DVDlab you also can alter the sync by adjusting the ac3 delay, so everything you need is present in DVDlab settings
|
I'll try that for sure problem is that u have to compile whole project to check presence of sinc prob if there's any .

Ok!
I tryed this too ( I didn't counted how many times already ) Load 23.976fps MPEG2 stream to DVDlab Load 448Kbps AC3 sound track demuxed from DVD with DVD2AVI 1.77 Imported orig. chapters from DVD Added scene selection Compile DVD project DVDLab demands to do pulldown on MPEG2 stream => OK After that muxing without any error messages !!! After while project is compiled and done . WinDVD playes video perfectly but without sound . PowerDVD playes vobs perfectly but no sound too. According DVD folder size VOB's didn't got sount track . Demuxing of sound with DVD2avi doesn't give any sound file at all . Conclusion - DVDlab didn't muxed MPEG2 stream from CCE 2.66 with original AC3 387mb sound track . If I convert AC3 to MP2 (even 320Kbps) then muxing is fine and DVD is with perfect !!! quality . I'm willing not to do this conversion cos want to preserve 5.1 channel info in sound track and as I know MP2 doesn't do that (correct me if I'm wrong). What I'm doing wrong :?: :?: :?: Any help !!! bman |

just the other day I have made a test:
I have tried to muxed in dvdlab with audio ac3 extracted from dvd2avi. The plan comes compiled correctly, but when I open the vob with POwerdvd, the movie one comes reproduced a lot slowly and in jerks, and the computer slows down me remarkablly. Then I have tried to use Ac3machine that is the GUI of besweet and have did the audio from 448kbps to 384kbps (if you want you can leave it 448). In this way I have ri-compiled the plan and poverdvd reproduces it perfectly. Probably it must be some incompatible between the audio extracted from Dvd2avi and dvdlab. p.s. you can say to me like to do import orig. chapters from DVD . It's possible to import also the menù for entire? by |

For them I can produce second Disk. For my projects I use ~4000mb for video and 200-300mb for audio . So I don't have much space and to say honestly I don't need another stuff on my DVD's . That's on u if u would waste space for whole bunch of unneeded material . So if u still want to use original menus too just copy your DVD's with appropriate program , one that can make exect copy of original - if orig. disk have double layer and double space than just split it on two disk's with original menus and chapters in it . Sorry for long answer , I hope it helps even a little . bman |

Use the software "Chapter Xtractor".
|
It's simpler than u think :
I'm not sure (I'm not at home and don't have DVDlab here) :) :) but try This : Point on MOVIE# in DVDlab and go to menu on main menu . Then with "Import chapters" , load ifo file of your dvd . U have all needed times and info in there and all chapters will be inserted automatically by DVDlab . Thats all! If this doesnt work than download ChapterExtractor from web . Extract chapters and save them as text file . Then import them (as above ) to your MOVIE# in DVDlab . bman |

Don't be sorry, I didn't know that DVDLab can handle directly the ifo :-)

@ zagor
Tryed AC3fix GUI - Loaded source original Ac3 file ,destination ,process and nothing - GUI doesn't do nothing ( AC3fix and GUI are in the same folder ) Rencoded Orig AC3 file with AC3machine - DVDlab can't handle it too . Loaded MPEG2 stream fith Original AC3 file to TMPG DVD author - Perfect vobs in ~15minutes . Can Play them with winDVD and PowerDVD too . So what is the problem with DVDlab ??? Is it problem only for me or for others too :?: :?: :?: Please help - I won't abandon DVDlab just because of this silly problem .   Any help :!: :!: :!: bman |

Just to be sure bman, did you drag the ac3 stream on the movie tag line ? Because it is not done automatically
BTW, you can also mux the audio and video into a vob using Ifoedit and ask to dvdlab to work with this vob without demuxing it. |

I have to drag AC3 file to MOVIE# in dvdLab ??? bman |

hugh.... ... dont take that bad but.... ...mmm.... Yes you have to :-) Note for Zagor and Jorel that quoted this just above : I tested yesterday and Dvdlab DO NOT TAKE IFOs in the "import chapter" menu; he wants text files (.txt or .chp). |

I'm very sorry for uncorrect info, It'll never happened again !   But it'll be cool if Oscar could add this option to DVDlab isn't ??!! That'll make DVDlab more convenient and friendly program  bman |

2. To get vob's I used TMPG dvd author and imported to dvdlab . 2 options : 1. demuxe or use without and 2. join vobs . If I choose "1" then I couldn't insert chapters to whole movie at once cos there are 5 vobs and each one is about 25 minutes long . So to insert original chapters I have to join all vobs to one "2" and that's another 4gb and 20min's . Not so simple ?! bman |

This way I obtain a single 4GB vob that contains the whole movie. It needs only 5 minutes for that. And this way I can use option 1 of dvdlab. But as I told you you dont have to use vobs, you can use unmuxed streams. Import in the assets the mpv (video) and the ac3 (audio). Select the movie#1 under DVDlab. Drag the MPV on it. window. Now just drag the AC3 the same way ! |
@bman and Dialhot
You can also join VOBs using copy /b copy /b VTS_1_01.VOB+VTS_1_02.VOB+VTS_1_03.VOB My_big_MOVIE.vob It's very fast... |
@ vmesquita
Cool tip man . 8) Where u find all this stuff :) @Dialhot This thread is CLOSED. Finito la COMEDIA How stupid man can be ???   Whole week of efforts to solve prob , posts if forum here and there and an answer was so simple : Stupidity !!! I can't find another word    First to make some order in here . I've tryed AC3Fix - and it worked from command line on my original AC3 file without problems and as expected i got a message : No errors found. Dialhot , MAESTRO , u brought solution to me - To get AC3 files muxed with DVDlab I had to drag AC3 file over MOVIE1 track . It made green band on movie1 track and rest is piece of cake . Muxing and processing of vob's - no problemo    At last I've got prepared whole dvd and I'm hap-p-p-y ! Thank u man again and again bman |
You can also fix ac3 files with besliced/besplit from DSP guru.
It has a nice little box that opens when you click on besliced and just drag the ac3 file onto it choose fix and boom...always works. BeSlicedv0.2.zip is what I use. You can get it at doom9 in the audio tools. |
