Motion search precision question
I've read a few times that motion esimate search (fast) works very well for mpeg-2 (SVCD)...speed and quality at the same time. See the following:
http://www.digitalfaq.com/convert/tmpgencplus.htm I've tried it myself and it seems to be true. I will test this with an SKVCD template. Any opinions? Thanks |
Wrong URL

We used to use ME with adaptative scripts like the optimal MA one, and High with static scripts like the ones I did for Avi -> kvcd jobs.

I liked the site too.
I'm wondering what WUSIWUG html tool this person used. I don't have FrontPage any mores and all I have letf now, is my Netscape 7.1 's builtin html, which isn't so bad  - - great for real quickies or for when I need to add in a quick URL in my "home-page" I use as my default. I use this page as my startup because it's my kickoff to anywhere's I won't to go, much like when you are on AOL 8O. Thank guys, -vhelp |

Now I know why the author posted what he posted about KVCD :!:
Look at the top of the site. It says: "Formerly known as lordsmurf.com" lordsmurf is a vcdhelp.com user, who always posts negative things about kvcd. So there you have it ;) -kwag |
Yeah, I noticed that too, but I didn't really care about that. I remembered
heading over to his site (when I finally got N 7.1 and my browser didn't crash) Everyone is intitled to his/her own opinion  MS FrontPage 4.0 ?? So, mine was much older (one of the first one's, if memory serves me) but I like lordsfmurf's page layout - it's nice and neat hehe.. anyways.. I might look back into MS FP because it's good a frames, and my old webpage needs revising and so forth  - but I'm too lazy at the moment. @ kvcd, I still use your Matrix template, (though not your GOPs, since I'm doing mostly DVD authoring. I don't know what the latest (prefered) GOPs are used for DVD authoring w/ ifoEDIT ATM  -vhelp |

In my haste w/writing and posting this post, I fogot to mention my current GOP, which seems to work out very nicely in my DVD projects w/ TMPG. In the order of TMPG's: * 1, 5, 2, 2, 18 * [ ], [ ], [ ] - - - none of these boxes below GOPS, are checked. Remember, quality is my main concirn with DVD disks. I"m only after quality, since there is plenty of room per dvd disk, and I'm not trying to squeeze as much content at the moment 8) -vhelp |

Remember that KDVD is 100% DVD compliant. Not like KVCDs , which are not. So if you want your KDVDs to play everywhere, then stick to a max GOP of 15(PAL) or 18(NTSC). -kwag |
