Is CCE faster than TMPGenc?
Is CCE faster than TMPGenc?
Also, can I use CCE to create a KVCD. Vmesquita has used CCE to create a KDVD here. So, is it possible to use it to create a KVCD? And if yes... are there KVCD templates for CCE just like those for TMPGEnc? And, I dont think theres any forum here for discussing convertion of DVD/Divx to KVCD using CCE here. So, where should I post my further questions? |
Hi p2phunter,
I cannot point you to the forums it has been commented, but as a general rule (taken from tests, as everything here) the best tool right now (let's see the further development of ffmpeg based encoders) to make KVCD (that is, mpeg1, or low bitrates mpeg2) is TMPGEnc. It has been stated lots of times that TMPGEnc is the best tool at low bitrates (use the Search button: my better advise). That's why you won't find any creating KVCD with CCE how-to. |
thanx for the info :D
I'm comfortable with TMPgenc... I thought I should look up CCE if its better than TMPGenc.. But, now... I wont :) |
Yes CCE is way faster but as told by digitall, it is far less efficient on small resolution and low bitrates and that makes it not recommanded for KVCD.
Nevertheless, if you want to use it, you can retrieve the VMesquita guide that is actually in the KDVD section. A template is delivered with the guide for both KDVD and KVCD jobs. |
roger that!
I'll look at vmesquita's guide thanx again :D |
