What to do with CQMatic results

I have run CQMatic with prediction x1 mode. How do I find out what CQ to use?

Here is the log:

Damn not again ¬_¬, I keep on missing the small details.

arana 05-13-2004 08:29 PM

in this particular case will this value be used in CQ only?
or can it be used for CQ_VBR????

and using CQ_VBR what will the best MAX and Minimum bitrate values
to use? or just leave those by default (0-3000)?

No :!:
The vales for CQ are completely different than for CQ_VBR.

Same as for CQ.

those values are the default values in tmpgenc dialog box for VCD
and for kvcdx3 it gives me 0-0 :S

Surely in an "Avalon's very own KVCD template for awesome results with CQ=20, I swear I did it mylself" DLed somewhere on the internet :-P

kwag 05-13-2004 08:47 PM

That's what I thought

arana 05-13-2004 08:50 PM

lol
nop not that guide, just i thot some values must be there other than 0-0
vcd used 0-3000 in the template, im just trying to figurout wich values will be "acceptable" here for avergae quality

Dialhot 05-13-2004 09:00 PM

64-2300
(or 300-2300 if your standalone can't play too low bitrates).

Note: VCD standard is 1150-1150 so I really don't know where you had taken these values.

arana 05-13-2004 09:07 PM

just load a vcd template on tmpgenc, unlock the rate control option
select cq_vbr
and there they are 0-3000

do the same on kvcdx3 and it says 0-0

thank you again Dialhot

if i ever meet you ill have to pay the beers!

I did that on purpose, so that people wouldn't use CQ_VBR :!:
CQ_VBR is good only for 352x240(288).
Nothing else.
