Make DVD with KVCD sources?
Ok! For my Birthday I have got I DVD burner.
First of all I tried to make a KDVD! Perfect ! I put 3 movies with High quality an sound( ac3) on 1 DVD. WOW! Tested on my PS2, Philips and Kiss. Ok! Then I get my old kvcd ( 352 x 576 and 720 x 576 video size) and tried to make a DVD . I was luky because my sound was encoded in 48000 . I used the TMPGENC DVD authoring. Putting the kvcd files on gave me the alert that the gop was more than 15 frame, I just hit ignore a made the DVD. Same result as before. Ps2, Philips and Kiss played the DVD with menu ok! Now , what this mean ? Can I make a DVD with the KVCD template and put a lot of movie on one DVD ? Was my test on 3 different player exaustive ? Any suggestion? What about the DVD specification on MPEG1 stream ? |
Re: DVD with KVCD working !?!+-
Hi,
you can put your KVCD's on a DVD but then they won't be following the DVD standard (GOP and maybe resolution). If you want to have it 100% DVD compliant you would need to reencode them (i would'nt do). AFAIK most players can handle a different GOP and if you have a "valid" vcd resolution they will be ok.
