Audio Framerate Conversion?

I normally search when I have a problem and find my answer but I can't find it now this is the only problem that I have never solved I have a 29.97 (29.971 actually) and since Tok doesn't understand that framerate and have to put in the AssumeFPS which then I try to convert to 23.97 but when I try to my audio it is always slowed down so is there a way to fix this if so then how. Sorry I know questions similar to this have been asked but they never have this particular topic in them. Thanxs for any help

Whats that kind of source???

A 29.97 Movie (Blockbuster/Hollywood)

or a 29.976 capture or dv/video-cam source?

It is a blockbuster hollywood encoded to xvid

a Blockbuster at 29.97 means its telecined ...... BUT I dont wanna know who did encode that to Xvid at still 29.97 from that bad mastered DVD :!: :wink: Or its a xvid encoded capture where here also just a bad encoding have been done.

As you can easely restore that interlaced/telecined movie to its orig 23.976 progressive by

Telecide()
Decimate()

from the "decomb Package" at avisynth. org (extern. Filters)

Avisource("xxxxxxx.avi")
Telecide()
Decimate()
... and here followed by resizers and so on.

Try it ....

:)

That can't be done on such sources. The 3:2 pattern has already been destroyed when the 29.97fps stream has simply been deinterlaced (yes, some people can be really stupid at times). Telecide will probably do nothing and Decimate() will only cause jerky movement.
