DVD2AVI: Double speed playback
Ha! I knew that would get your attention.
My question is, any one having a problem ripping this movie. When I do it I get double playback. Like 2 seconds plays then plays again before going forward. Also noticed first playback fills the sides of the player then next time through there are small black lines on both sides about 4 wide. I tried to make an .avi even and get the same results. Anyone? -Yoda |
Protected
Sounds like a Microvision Protected type DVD/FIle. I had this problem whne trying to get some original VHS tapes to DVD-R until I install the "Box" between the two units.

Problem solved.
Use Smartripper and selected "from stream" and it read it correctly. This was a funny one since the original rip was 6.9g and doing it this way it came out to 5.95 without the double scenes. I think I may use this method on those scratched ones. |
That's looping angles. I had that problem a long time ago when I used older ripping programs. Since I started using DVDDecrypter, the problems are gone.

I got with DVDDecrypter, Smartripper, Claddvd xp, and mediator when I tried to rip directly to vobs. The only way I could get a straight movie was with Smartripper and direct stream. I'm trying a very scratched Mummy 2 right now to see if I can get around some of the read errors I have with this movie.

hm, i had the same problem ripping sw: episode 1 (you should know this movie :D ) and you just have to select angle 1 in options menu. otherwise, both angles are ripped and every 2 seconds both angles are shown

I'm trying to rip In the bedroom and it's not working! I'm using latest DVD Decrypter IFO mode, detect mastering errors checked, multi-angle processing checked, to no avail. It seems like it's ripping fine but when I load the vobs into DVD2AVI there's just a green screen. Should I install SmartRipper?

Well I didn't have the latest version of DVD Decrypter! Seems like there's a new release every week :) Got it to work now.
