Very good Inc :!:
I had already copy/pasted this in a word document, for easier reference, but by this way it can be readable by everybody. Nice. Now, my problem is to find the equivalence between our "used-to" avisynth filters and this filters. And that is what I tried with my previous posts: to give the correlation between mencoder and avisynth. For instance: you posted a blurrer/sharpener, but there are in mencoder at least 3 blurringfilters: boxblur, sab and smartblur. And an unmask filter (BTW, used in mencodeme: unsharp). What's better, which values?. I know it's a question of testing and posting here results and parameters, but what's the equivalency, related to strength of the parameters, between hqdn3d and a spacialtemporal like stmedianfilter or whatever?. Can I translate directly the data I get in virtualdub related to gamma (thanx for your great capture guide), and contrast/brightness/saturation (it's easier to tweak them there, with preview), what's again the equivalency?. Yes, I know, test and test. First step, know what filters there are. Second, test (and compare with avisynth?) |
Im totally in PureBasic right now, ... so I couldnt test that smartblur filter, BUT:
It sounds very promising, like Asharp() as you can determine WHAT will be sharpen like more the edges, ... or more blurring plain surfaces ... depending on positive/negative values  |

is an brasilian way that means: ...more than better, more than great, more than needed, more than very good ! means too.....more than full, more than expected, more than much more... is like.....INK, YOU'RE TOO MUCH ! (all good things but "too much" ) |
You can use -ss to encode from a time (to bypass a long intro?)
eg -ss 20 in the bat file starts the encoding at 20 secs into the movie (mind you you have to allow for the 20 secs in your audio too; cut it I mean, else you'll be out my 20 secs on the remux (yup silly me found out the hard way :dunce: ) Edit - Ooopps, about 20 posts too late... duuuh...    |
We have to keep testing these nice mencoder internal filters...
... but... ...if they find the way to work with avisynth within mencoder (as fast as internal mencoder filters?) then... |
