Mencoder Audio
I've tried to use mencoder to do a vob's audio (mp3lame), and all the builds I have say they weren't compiled with libacvmp3 audio (or something like that).
Are all Win Mencoders audio disabled? Is there a special reason for it (maybe it's crap at audio?)? |
I think it can be somewhat tricky to compile mencoder with mp3 support in Windows. Remember, MPlayer/Mencoder are originally written for *nix and under those OS:es normally links to the "lame" libraries.
It should be possible tough to compile lame under cygwin/mingw and statically link it to mencoder, but I'm not sure. - Peder |
It's not critical, Peder (thanks for the reply). After all, bewseet can converet direct from vob to mp2/3. Headac3 handles -xx audio offsets.. (dunno if besweet does?)
Ta mate. |
try to find mencoders mp2 options as we do not need mp3 as audio format in our mpeg1/2 DVDplayer compilant video business ;-)

I've tried many audio options - mencoder reports them as all disabled in the compiling (with Vm's build, and the ones posted by Incredible (I think - the AthlonXp build), also with the mplayer listed win32 biuld.
Never mind, I'm using besweet (when it doesn't mangle the output file; headac3 when it besweet kills the mp2 output (about 1 in 6 is rubbish data for some reason.)). |
