DVD Decrypter problem, videos are scrambled?

Hi

I wasn't sure where to post so...I have an NTSC DVD that plays perfectly. When I rip it to disk, with DVD Decrypter(Ver 3.2.2.0) or Smart Ripper, and play it with PowerDVD(and other players), there are sequences that are scrambled. Both ripping progs claim to have completed successfully, but there must be some kind of encryption component not found.

I've never had a problem ripping before. If it matters, the film is Bridget Jones's Diary from Miramax.

Can someone tell me why I can't rip this DVD?

Thanks

It's surely a 'false PGC cell trick' also seen on Nemo.
Try to check "detect mastering errors" in the "CSS" tab of DvdDecrypter options.

That didn't work. I tried to Force the encryption key as well...to no avail. Any other suggestions?

Thanks

In smartripper, the default is to search a key for each vob.

Try all other option (except "don't decrypt") : every chapter / every vob-id / every cell-id
(you can start from the last one as each step includes the previous one).

Every cell-id did the trick. You are awesome.

Many thanks.

You're welcome :-)
