@vmesquita,

Could you add selectable DC precision to Mencoder-ME
So you can choose 8, 9, 10, 11 bits

Thanks,
-kwag

Could it be:

vfdct=<0-10>
algoritmo dct:
0
selecciona automáticamente uno bueno (por defecto)
1
entero rápido
2
entero con precisión
3
mmx
4
mlib
5
altivec
6
AAN en coma flotante

8, 9, 10 admitted but not explained.

Thats a dirfferent approach!

dct algorythm is based on the quantisation in general but not precisely to DCT precision factor.

As we also know that an DCT precision of 1 or even 0 wont be used in mpeg ecodings.

Be careful - I tried setting those, and they created very very wierd mpgs.

None of the mux tool could read them properly, and MPC* said they weren't even video files (!!!???).

That one is best left on 'automatic'
