Best CCE settings?
 

I've been reading up for quite a while about kvcds/kdvds an have made a few skvcds with the more user friendly programs, DIKO and the like, and since I just bought a dvd burner I thought I'd get started on KDVDs. I've heard there isn't a supr simple way for prediction using CCE. I heard multi-pass VBR recommended and bypassing prediction.
My question is, what min/max/avg bitrate settings should I use in CCE?

1./ Do you habe the CCE templates for your version?
2./ Do you use the optimals scripts?
3./ I d say experiment and find out whats best for you

Just to some small clips and chnage the bitrate to what youn need.IF you want multiple movies on 1 DVDr yuo will have to lower the bitrate .I find 2300 isd finew for me as im backing up a lot of my cartoons .......(kids and dvds not good!)

I'm now trying to encode one pass VBR but my files seem too small. I'm encoding animated material at Q 1 (300-4600 kbps) at full dvd resolution and each episode is only 100 meg or so, should I look at this as a blessing in disguise? or am I doing something wrong?

Edit: Yes, I was using the wrong template in CCE :oops: But the files themselves are still fairly small, is animated material simply that easy to encode?

Edit2: I opened up the mpv in media player classic and I get Avisynth: caught an access violation at 0x0d88f3c8, attempting to write to 0x35fe0f58. But the really wierd thing is I muxed that with the audio to test it on an svcd and it gave me 3 or so minutes of the actual video and audio.

well first of do you have the latest version of avisnyth instaled.also the latest codecs such as xvid,divx etc? finally open your script in vdub or some player before the encode an look for any messges in there which usually are simple errors in the script
