Convert QuickTime to KVCD?

i'm looking for a way to convert a quicktime movie (the e3 2004 half-life 2 preview video, specifically) to kvcd without first exporting to avi from quicktime. any ideas? (i've tried tmpeg, doesn't work)

Hi, welcome.
Do you know avisynth. You can frameserve quicktime movies to encoder with avisynth scripts.
Do a search for words as quicktime, Directshowsource.
Take a look here and here.

It can't if you don't have the QTRead plugin.

i'd far rather use tmpeg, i'll try and find that plugin. i remember it used to be on the tmpeg site a looooong time ago, but that had to be like v1.x or something.

Hi MoltenLead

I am sure the plugin works but i remember a long time ago i could never get it to work with the plugin or anything

Trust me thsi plugins works great.

Now, QTime format probably changed since the release of the plugin and perhaps the new version is no more compatible with it.

Note: we are talking about REAL apple quickime movies, NOT 3ivx ones !

Every 3ivx source I've ever had works just fine with the QTReader.
