I can't start it. I've got a message that says my trial period is finished :!: I've tried to desinstall it and install it again. Doesn't work.

hey SILK, take a read here:
http://www.pegasys-inc.com/en/download/te3xp.html have a trial in the bottom of the page! |
I've downloaded this version but no way. There's a message that tell me "trial license acquistion ends in 0 days.
|
Thanks for posting this Jorge I hope it improves over the flaws of 2.5.
From what I read in your post this version looks very interesting I must try it. :) |

i search for support in the homepage for your problem but first you have to buy to got it!?!? 8O |
I did not buy it as it's a trial but there's a kind of registration with the pass for the 14 days trial.
|
Don't you ever read the screens ?
It's told that you have to reboot after the install (that's probably why it didn't work yesterday) and you need an internet connexion to activate the trial period AND use the soft (periodical license verifying). this tool can't be used on a laptop :-( |
I was surely drunk :drunkard:

Well, I downloaded the TMPGEnc 3 XPress but I just don't get how I'm supposed to be able to start it! Help, please...

but we can try...did you follow that steps? ■Download the file and run the installation program. ■Use the program  after having re-started Windows ■After the installation, you will need Internet connection to be able to use the functions (periodical license verification). ■Read the attached helpfile for further informations about the program did you follow all recomendations?? |
Yes jorel I've followed every step. But when I ask TMPGEnc to "Obtain a license" it says "Input data not sufficient"... I'm about to give up on this program.

Seems I downloaded the "Retail Version"... Sorry for the trouble! |
Hi,
I've installed it, and I'm encoding right now a small sample. First impression: even slower than tmpgenc! 8O I'm using avisynth filters, and in VBR mode, it'll last 30 min. It last 12 min with tmpgenc! Next step is trying Cq mode (Constant Quality), to compare global quality... To get it work, I had to install Media Player 9, and activate avs reader plugin... Let me know your results Fabrice 8O

Hi,
Well, I'm a bit disappointed: I get very poor result comparing the videos with ssim, compared to previous version... I speed it a bit, activating SSE support, wich comes disactivated by default, so times are similars to previous versions. Visual comparison don't show this 'poor' quality, so I'll compare them more deeply, and I'll first try converting videos without avisynth... CU, Fabrice |

Good thinking. I think the only way to proove the good or bad results of an encoder compared to another encoder is to use them without any filtering at all. You can run some comparison tests with filtering activated afterwards. Do let us know of the tests outcome  Cheers |
