PackShot settings explained?

I will try PackShot, but I need some explanation and samples about some settings:

I go for a PAL KVCD (352x288) or KSVCD (480x576) from original DVD (1 BIG VOB).

 Noise reduction, Sharpen, PostProcesing check, BlockBuster:

Which are good values in these settings?
In most of the cases, is better to leave them by default?
What criteria can be used to vary them?

 Settings 12-21

Which are good values in these settings for KVCD (352x288) or KSVCD (480x576)?

Thanks a lot.

Up to now you cant do Ksvcd at 480x576 as Im just in to update that.

So you should go into it via MakeAvis AVI where you determine the resizing in the avs ..... ore meanwhile generate a 352x576 kvcd.

ALso up to now only mpeg2 is supported but it has been proofed by Kwag that mpeg2 is in general the best choice if encoding with mencoder.

Moment!
You can import your DVD VOB, set everything as a 352x576 mpeg2 stream and after starting the encoding, close the console and open the encode.bat in the engines folder, there you can change the resize parameters from 352x576 to the 480x576 needed ones.

to the settings you wanted:

Do use the settings you would use in case of regular creating a VCD or Svcd, but you shouldnt go with the GOP over 18! as it has been proofed that kvcd GOPs of 24 and 25 could result in artefacts if using with mencoder.

Hope this helps
