sound in .m2v?
I played with WMP Classic a .m2v created with MEncoder and it has sound, no sync sound but it has sound :?:
I think: m2v=video mp2=audio What is happening? Thanks -Maurus |
In Mencoder you can choose which outputformat will result:
-of rawvideo = Elementary Video Stream -of mpeg = Systemstream (multiplexed Video and Audio) In your case you probably used -of mpeg and just a "xxxx.m2v" as suffix, so the suffix doesnt reperesent the content. In case of Video + Audio encoding in Mencoder you should use a suffix "xxx.mpg" Saludos a Madrid! |
In temp.conf I use the same values than MencodeMe:
Code:
of=rawvideo=1 What are the correct settings in the temp.conf in this case? Thanks. -Maurus Desde Madrid, gracias por los saludos. :wink: |
I assume you played it with MediaPlayer Classic by Gabest. If this is the case and accidently your video file and audio file have the same name (and diff. extension of course) and they are in the one and the same folder you can have the chance that MPC automatically dub you video file. From here you can have also some asynch.

Yes, my video file .m2v and my audio file have the same name. I rename my audio file WMP Classic get the new name and it sound again. If I put de .m2v in another place it not sound. :lol: Very thanks. -Maurus |
@maurus
don't move anything to anywhere. pop up mpc. press 'O' (options) and declick the autoload settings. that's all. @abond no asynch in mpc till u just play (no seek&jump). dub function is pretty cool in mpc. if u wanna fast-moving, reload your audio & u got it synch again. that's my experience. the bests y |
I am using very rare this function of MPC. Currently I have experienced asynch sound with a files cutted with Cuttermaran. No matter how I load the audio - it was constantly 1 sec. before video. After reencoding with besweet and muxing with mplex everything was in perfect synch.

@abond
i've meant 'muxing-on-the-fly' so when all streams (video, audio, subs,...) being in separate files are dubbed when played. when muxed stuff is asynch u can use 'audio time shift' within mpc (not too elegant but worx :-)) the bests y |
No, no. Cuttermaran cuts only demuxed files. So they were demuxed when I tried it with MPC. Then that is "muxed-on-the-fly" :wink:
