vrc_minrate and vratetol

I read problems with vrc_minrate in mencoder and I read also the Kwag solution adding noise.

MEncoder 0.23 has this settings:

...unsharp=l3x3:0.6,hqdn3d=3:6:8,unsharp=l3x3:-0.7:c3x3:-1.5,noise=2uh,expand=...

Are they the correct values?

I see a post of Kawg an it recommend:

noise=3th

hqdn3d=3:6:2

Another question. What is vratetol? MEncodeMe not using it.

If you want to get into real mencoder tweaking, you should a) read that long mencoder thread .... and b) take a look into the manuals ;-)
