i have these message for a wide range of sources and the end mpv is to short for the audio to match! what gives>?

This messages mean that mencoder is keeping sync by dropping frames. This is needed because generally there are a few frames in the movie that are not progressive. If this frames are not dropped, the movie would get out of sync.

I just encoded the same video using cce and the lenght was pefrect.mencoder output was nearly 6 miutes to short.with cce i used dialhots v4 and for mencoder i used the avi filter the target was half d1 @2000kps source is 23 and destination is 25.any ideas?

DId I understand it right: in mencoder you put 25 fps as input and the movie was 23.976 originally fps?

glent2k3 05-29-2004 07:37 AM

 i thought that was the output no input. so i guess we use the assume 25fps in avisnyth>makeavis>then in mencoder and set the in input fps in there?sorry in a noob

Yes, if you use assumefps (25) in your script you must select input fps as 25 in mencoder.
