Great database for your movies : Ant Movie Catalog

Hi!

I assume this post belongs to this section. This freeware is just fine for tracking down your DVDs and KVCDs  . It doesn't come with hundreds of fields to fill like other tools available (eg. DivX Manager).

And the option I love is that you can export all your database in HTML pages! This is very convenient when you run a HTPC and want to read your database on TV (=big chars, non-smeering colors). It can export to CSV and SQL too, so you'll never be stuck in the future...

G,

Really you like Ant? I tried it a while back and passed on it.
I swear by eXtreme Movie Manager (former divxmanager). There are a lot of fields to fill out, but one doesnt have to. I chose not to fill in most items, only ones that were crucial to my collection. I would'nt have been able to complete my database in two weeks had it not been for eXtreme.
The older versions, whilest they dont do many of the newer file, i.e. dvd or xvid support, have far less fields or items to fill out. and they are still freeware, no support, but freeware. if one can find them.

Not saying that Ant isnt good, but imho, after spending two days downloading and trying out all the packages that are out there; I concluded that eXtreme was the best of all the ones i tested, and one of the best out there if not dee best.
