BarBQ Blues

I've been around the U.S. searching for the perfect BarBQ. Now I have an excellent place in Houston, TX that has the best BarBQ in the world. I've traveled through almost every southern state (considering the North wouldn't have BarBQ) and went to all of the famous places in that state. I've come up with the conclusion that Goode Co. BarBQ in Houston is still the best BarBQ there is. Anyway, could anybody recommend any BarBQ places, just to see if I haven't tried them?

BBQ's

I agree with mero, Tony Roma's is without a doubt THE place for ribs 8) , but you also have Foodrockers :) in the NY FL or PR area, in PR there's also Cabaña Las Lilas, also last but never least, Vivaldi Ranch in Tx.
 gotta go, hungry again

ribz 4 dummies

just bbq'd some beef ribs with my Weber charcoal grill and they were very tasty! This is my first successful attempt at this because im too used to the microwave! So here were my steps:

1) I cleaned out the grill; scraped the sides, wire brushed the bottom and top grills

2) then made a small pile of charcoal briquets making sure they were all close together and saturated it with lighter fluid. Waited a minute to let the fluid soak in, then lit and put the top grill on. Waited till the fire was fully ablaze and continued to wait until the fire settled down.

3) then I went in the house and prepared the ribs. I separated them and put the bbq sauce on the meaty side and when the coals had all turned white I put them on the grill meaty side up spacing them evenly around the outside of the grill and put the lid on (with the vent mostly closed because it was a little windy).

4) it started smoking like crazy and lots of sizzling sounds. I periodically checked on the progress to make sure nothing was burning. I was tempted to turn the ribs over but didn't do it. Keep the meaty side up and let it cook until it's not smoking so much and the sizzling sounds stop.

5) now they should be done or almost done (depending on if you like rare or well done). Take a rib off the grill and slice it and check the center to see how well it's cooked. I let them cook another 45 min until no more pink.

They turned out great, and my dog is making sure there's no waste. I'm open to all suggestions except be a vegetarian!

Geeeeee maaaaan! It's 1:00AM and I just read your post and that made me HUNGRY.

At this time of the night, there's no place I can get ribs

Guess I'll have to settle for a ham and cheese sandwich.

If I wake up my wife at this time of the night, and tell her I wan't some ribs, I'll be sleeping by my dog's ribs

But tomorrow, I think we'll go to Tony Roma's

rendalunit BBQ ribs

Hey man you sound like you got something really great going in that BBQ of yours, but let me tell you, if you like ears corn,
*you go get a couple wash them and
*put dash of salt a micro dash of pepper
* take some butter and spread those babies with it, you have to do it with your hands just like when you rub some cream on you or your girl and
* wrap each one on aluminum paper put them on the BBQ and turn them around every five to ten minutes depending on how crisp you like them.
and trust me you will keep all the juices from the ears corn and the butter inside. Try it and let me know if you like it.

don't forget the corn

hey Glanzend,

I love corn, and I always forget to buy it. I usually pick out a slab of dead animal, loaf of garlic bread and a can of vegetables. Tomorrow I'm going to remember to get the corn and I'll let you know how it turns out.

What if I substitute the dash of salt for garlic salt? I love that stuff and I usually put it in everything (it's really tasty in mac n cheese!).

Garlic salt?

Hey rendalunit!!!
Sure!!!

To me, the hole thing about cooking is experimenting, just like kwag does with his kvcd template, try it, (the garlic salt, I mean) and let me know how it came out. You may also wanna try putting some srhimps on that BBQ, and with your garlig salt, some butter, maybe some real garlic and a lot of love, you may end up with a delicious ribs and shrimp plate. 8)
give it a try, and enjoy  gotta go, hungry
now lets see if I can get someone to take me to dinner
