Reading that after having read your post about your KVCd of Nemo looking like the original DVD lead me to only one comment : Jorel, you need to change your TV set !

Phil, you're a joker.....ah, you read that post too ! (want sample?) believe, i don't like the image of this new lionking3...seems "unsharp",unclear! the dvd is brand new, i have 5 tvs, 2 standalone dvds players and 2 dvds players(one burn) in pc with ati all in wonder grafic card! i buy all cartoons from Disney's and my old vhs tapes like: (don't know in english) Mickey - o principe e o mendigo Aladim - o retorno de jafar Os aristogatas have better quality in the picture.... maybe something is wrong with this dvd...don't know! :? |
bigggt ....Phil.....then i'm gonna "cry" (kiddin but true) :(
the image of this cartoon is horrible here...something can be wrong! please, can you send a picture from your dvd and send to my mail? a simple picture with powerdvd will be fine. i only need to know what frame or time is the picture to compare with mine! :) |

Micky : the poor and the rich Aladin, Jafar's return The aristocats And actually the last one didn't have a best picture. It's on old classic painted on celluloid where LK3 is almost all computer generated. Where did you buy your edition ? To an old weird chinese selling also cute furry little mogwais ? :-) Watch out : do not feed them after midnight :hihi: |
"Watch out : do not feed them after midnight "
everybody in the forum "think" that you are serious (and you are) but for me my friend, you're a joker! Phil,i don't like of many scenes....when they are in the colored "paradice" the image is cool but in the remainder , the scenes seems with "dry" colors! :? i load only the source in vdubmod, and this frames i don't like: 18354 (colors "too dry"), 25982, 29960 (opac), 36483 (opac), 43089 (opac), 52020, 63457, 78714 (colors "too dry"), 87160 (too much color, the red seems a incandescent "buble"), 87557 (colors "too dry"), 94301 (too much color, the red seems a incandescent "buble"), 96954.....and lots more. choose one, two or all please! thanks in advance Phil! :D i'm sending a pm with my mail! |

How do you load a dvd into vdub-do you rip it to hard drive first then load the vobs
|
Quote:
after rip the dvd, (i don't remember if work without rip first) load the vob in vdubmod (choose the audio stream) or with dvd2avi project with a simple "source-only".avs script . to the frames posted, was used dvd2avi project. Phil, no need the perfect frames....you got the "idea" . thanks! |
Thanx Jorel i ripped the dvd to hard drive but i had to laod each vob seperate so couldn't figure out how to get the frames
never thought of the avs way  thanks would you like me to send a pic if so do i just take snapshot with vdub and open in paint and save as jpg |
another 2 ways bigggt:
with dvddecrypter, settings, ifo mode, adjust file splitting to  "none". then you will rip only one big vob..... or using vobedit, you can do only one big vob from the vobs ripped in hd folder! thanks bigggt...you have pm! |
Thanx Jorel thats what i love about this forum i learn new things everyday :D

Hi Jorel did you get my mail last night
I sent you PM earlier but i am an impatient kind of fella :D (just kiddin) |

and i check again a few "seconds" ago and nothing came! :( please, confirm that you send again and i call the provider(central)! (i got some mails, is working but your pictures don't came) thanks my friend! |
Jorel !
Just to split a little oil on the fire : I'm currently doing your snapshots for lion king 3. I just wanted to say that... the picture as a 16 PIXELS BORDER ON EACH RIGHT/LEFT SIDE ! That is also why sometimes you should consider CROP/LETTERBOX the image and not only RESIZE it. Because it is not the first time I see that (even if 16 pixels is the larger border I ever saw !) |
all right Phil...!
in this thread, i only want to see the quality of the image, not the size parameters! thanks! |
Hi Jorel ,not that you have seen the pics from Phil what is the conclusion
Do you have a bad DVD or are Phils pics the same as yours |

the energy is gone yesterday for ~6 hours (storm) and i'm changing the hd from the pc of one of my friends..... i loose part of the job and have to install lots "inutilities" like: " off-ice " and drugs like that. i need compare the pictures but my first impression is that the Phil pictures are better.... i will do the tests in few hours! |
i did the comparisons and the picture aren't so differents.
the 8 pictures that Phil send to me have tiny more bright, only this. Phil, i load the first ripped vob in vdubmod to find the frames: the first picture in PAL is 18354, in NTSC is 15196, the second in PAL is 25982, in NTSC is 22223! you send exact what i needed to see: the bright and dark scenes! tiny differences in bright and in chroma comparing your pictures and mine here (but i can be the decoder, right? ) this differences are irrelevants! i see the bright scenes like the first picture very cool (little "dry") but the dark scenes too dark with opac colors. bright scenes are "too bright" and dark scenes "too dark". in my opinion the balance between luma/chroma isn't good! resuming: i don't like of the general image quality from lionking3! it don't means that is a trash but could be better. thank you Phil for send me the pictures and the atention from you and bigggt in this thread and in pms. you help me a lot as always! :D |
