Some crazy ideas!
Kwag: I was thinking about forum organization. We have a main page with all stuff in english language and a few threads for some other languages with the "this language only" advice. But in english stuff, not advice present, then anybody can post there in any language. Wouldn't be better another thread "English Forum" and move onto it all english stuff. And the disclaimer in main page, translates to all supported languages?
And another super crazy idea: It would be possible a link near each post, with translation posibility to and from any language? :crazya: :lightbulb: :D |
Well, the idea is good, but then it becomes a maintenance nightmare :!:
Originally, the main site was in English, and only an English forum existed. Then later on, I opened a separate Spanish forum. Big mistake :!: Everyone had to log in on a separate forum, and then to go back to the English forum, you had to log in again. And you had to "double register" to access both forums. So when the idea came about creating multi language forums, the decision was made to integrate all other languages in sub forums, leaving the primary (international) forum in English. So the main page (portal) was left in English, with pointers to the forums in different languages. -kwag |
:D Quote:

Think a little bit Prodater ! you CAN'T join all existent english forums into only one !
Noone never had the idea that, because it is not clearly said, you can post in other language than english in theses forums. The simple fact that you have a description of the forum in english speaks for itself. And the existence of foreign languages forums is a second hint that the other ones are english. Did you ever see someone post in finnish or russian in any forum :?: Your "crazy" idea is nothing more than a dumbest idea. |

It is just an idea. BTW, I always think more than a little bit. |
