Which blank discs are better: DVD-R or DVD+R?

1. What's the difference in compability with the two formats?

2. Does either format has more capacity than the other?

3. Does either one fails to burn more than the other one?

4. How good are Value Disc DVD+R's?

I think you will only notice a difference in the DVD-RW format, to my knowledge DVD+RW are better then DVD-RW as they can be formatted quicker but that's about it.

DVD do not need to be formated so that is not the problem :-)

The poitn is that DVD+RW is the only standard taht support mount-rainer (aka packed dropped) read-write mechanism. This allow you to use yhe DVD as a "big floppy" of 4.37 GB. I use that anytime with Drag'n'Disc from roxio, but you can use also InCd from Ahead.
