LiteON 52X burner burning too fast! Want 24x max speed
 

I picked up a LiteON 52x24x52, i think it's x24 for RW,,,
anyway,,, was wondering if anyone know how to slow it down to say,
48x speed?
It spins really fast, and it has begun to crack some of my media.
It puts a small line right at the center hole of some cd's. A good majority of them too. Luckily, I backed up my XP cd before re-installing.
On another cd-r, it actually cracked it.
On some AOpen 52x burners, there were three pins at the back of the unit
to accomodate a jumper to slow them down.
I'm not sure, however, if the NeroSpeed slowed down just the reading of the cd's or the burn speed. {When selecting Unit and speed, it still read Burn@ 52x}.

I finally found it : It was just under myt eyes and can't put the finger on it :!: So your solution is "Nero DriveSpeed".
It's a tool delivered with Nero burning Rom, under "NeroToolKit". Or you can surely find it on the net.
