JVC S500 - max bitrate info needed
 
I'm planning on archiving TV shows extracted from my Tivo as SVCD or better yet SxVCD (higher bitrate).

Does anyone have info on the max bitrate this player will allow from SxVCD CDs? JVC phone reps blink a few times and say - it plays VCD and SVCDs - and then blink a few more times.

I don't have the player yet, so I can't experiement on my own.
