dvd player won't support kvcd templates?

kwag can you create a kvcd taht is standard becuase my dvd player won't support your kvcd templates. it will play but it only skipps through or seems like its fastforwarding.is there anyway i've tried everything and the same outcome so can someone.

I am predicting that setting Constant Quality, or Constant Quality VBR affects the playback. Plus, i find 128kbps audio very muddy.

128Kbps audio will sound great, even if encoded with "Dolby Surround 2" option, but you must encode the audio with either BeSweet or HeadAC3he. Not using TMPEG's internal audio encoder. My choice is HeadAC3he ;)

I initially had problems with some of the templates because my dvd player (pioneer 344) didnt like low bitrates, two suggestions try raising the min bitrate to say 650 (that fixed audio problems for me) or try burning the mpeg as an svcd, both nero and vcdeasy handle this nicely and definately follow Kwags advice as to how to mux the video and audio.

so, to prevent skipping, i will have to mux it using bbmpeg, then use tmpgenc? btw, do the templates work if i change framerate to 29.97?

The idea is to encode only video stream with TMPEG, and use an external audio encoder to encode your WAV or AC3 file. Then mux them togehter with BBMpeg. TMPEG is not very good at muxing.
Yes, you can encode at 29.97fps, but only do it if it's necessary.

You encode the video with Tmpgenc then mux the video and audio streams with bbmpeg, I cant say this will fix your skipping as I dont know what is causing it but bbmpeg is far superior to tmpgenc when it comes to muxing. As for the 29.97 framerate thing I cant help as I use pal sources and have no experience with this.

As you said, kwag, using besweet or headac3he will not make 128kbps sound bad. however wut settings are required in order to make the best+smallest size audio for muxing

Audio is encoded as constant bit rate. Not variable. So the size will depend on the length of your movie and the bit rate you choose. When you run HeadAC3he, select Dual-Channel, 128Kbps, and Surround 2. That's basically it.

hey, i seemed to have a problem, which program should i use to get the audio out of a file b4 using HEADac3he and wut format?? and i cant find the option for choosing 128kbps in headac3he :( and btw, wut format should i convert to..mp3? wav? ac3? ...

Depends on the source.

Once HeadAC3he is open click the options button twice and you will see where you can set the bitrate
Convert to mp2 only

Sorry I wasn't clear enough I meant is it dvd or avi etc.
Personally I use DVD2AVI to create a dvd2avi project, I use the version that comes with dvd2svcd and when I make the project it decodes the audio to a wav file, this is what I feed into HeadAC3h

Source is normal NTSC 29.97 fps VCD, but i want to put 90 mins on a single disk, therefore, I seek the program to separate the audio for further processing.

Just use TMPGEnc -> Mpeg Tools -> Simple Demultiplex
You will get an m1v and an mp2@224kbps.

1 question about TMPGEnc, if i only wanted the audio , can i not split and save the video?

When you demultiplex your mpeg, you will split it in two streams. The video stream (m1v) and the audio stream (mp2).

Edit: If you just want to "extract" the audio, you can go to the "demultiplex" option (not simple-demultiplex) and select what stream you want to extract.
